This is from a Johnny Cash documentary shown on public TV in NYC in February 1969, a couple of months before Nashville Skyline. Most people had not seen Bob Dylan since 3 or 4 years before. Needless to say, the reaction was "what on earth is this?" (The date in the link is way wrong.)
